How to make tea

Walt: write an explanation

Tea is enjoyed at anytime at home. Tea was created in China. The man who made tea was called Shen Nung but the UK took the credit for making tea.

To make tea, people need hot boiling water, milk, sugar, and any sort of tea bag.  The utensils people need just a teaspoon, a cup and a plate if needed.

First boil the water. Next put teabag into the cup. Then pour hot boiling water. Leave teabag in the cup for a few minutes because it needs to brew. After that remove the teabag out of the cup. Add sugar and milk for personal taste.

Tea is enjoyed at home with biscuits and crackers.

Hot to make 3D wire art

Walt: Write an explanation.

If a class wants to make a 3D wire art work then go ahead. A 3D artwork is very simple to make.

The things that are needed is some wire and a couple of cardboard. The rest the a needed paper and drawing tools. The last thing that is needed is a picture and strings.

First draw or sketch a picture,but use the netbook to search for a drawing that is available at school. Sketch a person in action. Next cut and draw the picture onto the cardboard. The string is needed to attach around your art so it can be hang up on the wall. After that wrap the wire tightly and closely around the cardboard art.

In the end the 3D wire art would be finished. It would have been taken 3 or 4 weeks to make. When its done hang it in the class wall because it will look wonderful and visitors would look at it.

This is my new two Duffy books. Today we had Duffy assembly. Our role model was Niva Retimanu and shes samoan. She is a Samoan radio announcer. Her dad took her to the library. She didn’t know how to read a book and when she grow up,she began to read books. Niva went to fifty five schools. She is from Invercargill. At her house she has 500 books at home. Her motto is’’Its cool to to read, Its cool to achieve”.

Today I went to the library so I can read my ebook to some room 7 students. I shared my ebook with Lucky. We did this because our topic was about making muffins. Lucky needed some help to say some words.

Last night the Tall Blacks were versing USA and they lost. But even though  you lost you can try again next time. But its ok at least you tried your best and you had fun. Just keep on training and you will get stronger. So don’t give up and you had a very good game.

Robin Williams

Walt: write a paragraph.

Today I heard that Robin Williams died of depression. He was an actor and people was inspired by him. Robin Williams was also a comedian and made a few people laugh because of his jokes. Robin Williams came to New Zealand and he did a hongi with a few people. I remember him from Old Dogs and when he kicked the ball at the kid’s face. My favorite movie of his  is Old Dogs. He was the voice behind Robots,Happy Feet and Aladdin. He inspired me because he had some good idea so he can use when they a filming.

How do you think NZ did in the Commonwealth Games

New Zealand did Well in the Commonwealth Games because they had the fewest population amongst the other top twelve.  But If you divide the people by the number of medals New Zealand is at the top. If you divide england by the number of medal they are at 7th place. But england still had the most medal.

Today Room 11 and Room 12 were learning about new things about our teeth. Our visitor Mrs Wallbridge came to Glen Innes School to tell us about what is good for our teeth and bad for our teeth. I had learnt that if you smoke and drink your teeth will turn yellow and it will come out and you wont have anymore chances with your teeth. That girls teeth looked like that she doesn't brush her teeth because she smokes and drinks. I will tell my uncle to stop smoking from now on. When I grow up I will never smoke so I can keep my teeth. I will wear a mouthguard when I play rugby so my teeth don't come of. Yesterday at sport camp training I was so thirsty I was about to buy a fizzy drink but I didn't because I went for a  drink of water.

Ginger was a special horse. Ginger was the colour of toffee. Ginger had been trained to play polo. Ginger won't work with other horses. When it’s school time Ginger takes Ken and his sister to school. Jane said to Ginger that he was slow and old and soon would be dog meat. Jane was jealous of Ginger. Jane and her brother chased them and they threw stones at them. Then the dad got sick. They have to leave the farm and live in town. Jane’s dad came and he bought Ginger. Jane never like Ginger but she had realized that Ginger was a special horse so she took care of him.

It was a lucky day for  room 11 because we got cheesecake. My favorite part of the cheesecake was the cream cheese. The cream cheese taste like caramel. Thank you Mrs Terry for giving us the cheesecake to eat and it was really delicious.

Abby,Mum and aunty Noa sewed buttons on the dressing gown. They found buttons from old clothes and old pair of dungarees and an old shopping bag. aunty Noa had two different coloured buttons and a brown leathery buttons with a golden stud in the middle. Abbys favourite was a silver button that looked like a coin with a lion pressed into its face. When they finished making the gown they each had a turn to tell a story. Abby had a great time on the trip.

In this game you have to read the story first and if you a finished reading you can start the quiz. You have to remember the story so you can answer the questions. There a ten questions that you have to answer. You can see that I got seven questions correct and three wrong answers. But I think I can do better than this.

My teacher told room 11 that we were going to draw a flower because Georgia o' keeffe is our topic. That why we have to draw a flower. My teacher told us that we had to use cool and warm colours.
